Once an awesome and unique startup... now a holding company trying to run leaner... yet handing out huge payouts.
Pros
Lots of cummunity support / service opportunities. Friendly and casual culture. Good parent company (Cox). Lots of investmentent in coaching and development. Great consumer brands and software solutions. Lots of opportunity to leverage these assets with Manheim and other Cox divisions.
Cons
Very driven by sales organization (what sales wants sales gets). Trying to be more strategic and less tactical but no big changes yet. Trying to change car business and car dealers is like moving a mountain. Lots of pushback in industry and new solutions are stealing market share. Limited career advancement. Promotions based on networking. This results in some leaders who are super networkers but have no idea how to manage specialized teams. Company needs more leaders with specialized skills in product, marketing, sales, customer service, etc. Also, budgets and headcount need to be reduced to help the company run leaner. Got fat and happy during early days.
