Pros

AvantStay is a dream company for anyone in marketing. It’s a much higher echelon than your run-of-the-mill company without all of the stress that comes with working for large corporations (as part of giant teams where nothing gets done and every idea is so watered down by execution that everything seems half-baked at best).

Cons

Expectations are high, but you’re paid for the stress of delivering so I can’t really complain.

I was able to work directly with senior management for a while. Working at AvantStay wasn’t what I was expecting at first. It was a lot more fun than I originally thought it would be and it turns out the leadership are cool people. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company to my family and friends.

Cons

I don’t have a single con.

Pros

I can’t even begin to tell you how nice it is to work a job where you don’t have someone constantly breathing down your neck! For anyone who’s experienced this, you know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s a nightmare and it can make even the most fun job seem hellish. The biggest pro to working for AvantStay is they actually trust you to do the job they hired you for. I’ve never once been disrespected in my role. My manager isn’t constantly checking up on me to make sure things are getting done. All priorities are communicated clearly and then it’s up to me to see them through. That’s the level of autonomy I want in a job and that’s exactly what I’ve experienced in my role at AvantStay for the past 4 years.

Cons

If you need a lot of hand holding and like when managers use the phrases “hands on” and “supportive work environment” then this isn’t for you. People who can’t do things on their own are going to get lost here because no one is sit next to you while you do your job and make sure everything gets done correctly.
