Pros
It was great to work with a lot of smart engineers. You only have to commnunicate with your immediate managers; however, your work and performance are well aware of by upper managements. Managers are very technical and reasonalble to deal with.
Cons
During critical time, management style could become micro-managements. That's not what you want to deal with; personally I don't think it would make development go any better, but that is just the way my department is.
