Pros

Long history (under DuPont) and consistent customer base

Cons

Severe lack of leadership only 5 years post-spinoff, not only in headcount but in ability to set strategy and make decisions. Lack of attention to workforce causing epidemic of negativity. Current focus on "strategic options" causing employees to feel uncomfortable about their futures. Coupled with lack of employee engagement and communication leading to slowed productivity and showing lack of value and oversight by management.

The Axalta Way

Pros

Competitive pay. But not worth the terrible work/life balance.

Cons

Project time lines are completely unrealistic. Employees are expected to work literally around the clock to meet these goals. To say people are overworked would be an understatement. And listening to management joke about how much we work and how little sleep we get is a slap in the face. Many people have left the company recently but management doesn't seem to see or care that they're driving good people away. The corporate mission statement touts "respect for people". Don't believe it.

Pros

Good benefits and good location

Cons

Lots of turnovers people come and go much too frequently. No formal training you come and figure. Managers are good at first encounter and then you get into reality. Reason? They are brought in 'talentless' by some peers leading remotely from wherever, leaving you to deal with that mess. Translation to you reading this: who do you think you are so take it or get fired. Overrated with unrealistic budgeting wanna be S&P top 5 putting you under pressure for the selfish investors who split the company from DuPont. Since then this company has been going downhill the talented guys just won't quit leaving one after the next.
