Mgmt... from a podium: "We don't hire a-holes and won't put up drama." Mgmt... in reality: "We promote a-holes and strive for drama - and we aren't going to listen to you - but hey, we'll act like we will." Leadership says one thing and does the opposite. For all the corporate talk about how their people are their greatest asset, they don't listen to anyone's opinions but their own. Narcissism trading on previous successes - at it's finest.
