A huge imbalance of culture due to the enforcement of new hires being in the office 4 days per weeks. This might work well in larger offices but in smaller offices, there aren’t many new hires, and this can feel incredibly isolating. Half the week you are spending valuable time commuting in to an empty office. You’re expected to offer flexibility, working for an international business, sometimes taking meetings out of hours, but there is little flexibility offered in return. A blanket approach does not work.

It’s disheartening to feel marginalized in a place where everyone should feel valued and included. Then came the day that changed everything: I, along with several colleagues, received the shocking news that we were being let go. It was a devastating blow, one that left us feeling discarded and undervalued. What hurt the most was the lack of connection and camaraderie. I longed for an open culture where we could share our struggles and successes. Instead, it felt like we were invisible, and our hard work went unrecognized. My heart aches for those who are still there, hoping for a better environment that values their contributions. If you’re considering joining Axon, I urge you to think carefully. Your talents deserve to be nurtured in a place that appreciates you. I left Axon not just as an employee, but as someone who dreamed of making an impact.
