Pros

Few places over a foot in the door for financial services in San Diego. Axos values innovation and bringing new ideas to the table.

Cons

So much is going on all of the time. Can get overwhelming, but manageable.

Pros

- You gain the ability to assume a sizeable amount of responsibility, which in turn allows you to develop valuable experience early on in your career. - You may be promoted quickly if you are a high-performer in a demanding role. For reference, I was able to make the jump from the JBA program to a full-time analyst role within a year. - Axos is a fast-growing environment that has been adding new lines of business and expanding while other banks have struggled in light of the regional banking crisis earlier this year. - Many of your co-workers will be on the younger side, which may be a plus for fresh grads / new JBAs. - Overtime isn't capped and is a way to compensate for lower base pay.

Cons

- Compensation & Pay: Base pay is below market rate for comparable analyst roles. Bonuses are 50/50 cash & RSUs which have a vesting period. If you leave during the vesting period, you forfeit your un-vested RSUs. - Culture: can get toxic at-times between some colleagues and/or other business units. Route for growth and influence within the company is highly dictated by internal politics. - Middle management in some business units are prone to micromanaging tendencies, which hurts morale and promotes operational inefficiencies.
