Pros

Absolutely nothing. Worst position I have ever held.

Cons

Everything. Everyone will never take accountability. Leaders are unprofessional and not willing to listen. They built a company that will make you question all morals.

Pros

I receive a reasonable paycheck.

Cons

Working for Axos Bank is deeply unpleasant. Daily work means answering to obsessive micromanagers who feel compelled to monitor every move employees make. The fast pace piles on constant strain, and the nature of the work already creates a tense atmosphere. Add distrustful micromanagers watching everything, and the experience becomes exhausting and mentally draining.

We recognize that our operating environment is fast-paced and highly accountable. Our management approach is intentionally hands-on, particularly in roles where accuracy, timeliness, and risk awareness matter. For many employees, that level of structure and oversight provides clarity, support, and strong performance outcomes. Axos is best suited for individuals who are comfortable with high expectations, frequent collaboration, and direct leadership engagement. While that environment may not align with every working style, it is core to how we operate and deliver results.

The CRE team is designed to provide analysts with challenging, engaging work that supports professional growth and real‑world experience. This structure is best suited for individuals who are comfortable with ownership, initiative, and evolving priorities. Role expectations at Axos are clearly communicated during the interview and offer process, including scope, workload, and compensation. Employees in any business unit here are encouraged to proactively seek out additional projects and take on responsibility as opportunities arise, which is an important part of operating in a dynamic, performance‑driven environment.
