BAE systems has very good people to work with. They're very friendly and tend to be very willing to help.

Cons

The current situation at BAE USCS is that the company is going through a major down-sizing. The current management is all about bottom line ($$$) and is very penny wise, but pound foolish. The current management does not value people.

Corporate processes and procedures are not fully aligned with the infrastructure in place at all of the various locations, which causes significant challenges for teams that do not have the tools they need to meet expectations.

Fair Pay. Good job challenges. 9/80 work week a real plus!!

Cons

Management doesn't invest adequately in Business Development and Capture. BAE is a "box" provider to the big primes on most jobs. Therefore, they are at the whim of the Lockheed's and Boeing's of the world to be a junior partner/sub-contractor on the big contracts. Most of senior management is "inbred" from within the company, therefore there are no new ideas or any real understanding of the DoD customer. Personnel hired from the government or military, with significant experience, are not provided the opportunity to advance and not valued for their knowledge - only their Rolodex.
