      Man who understands the cause and trys his best to keep it headed in the right direction.

      Pros

      Quality of life, a catagory not listed as an option. BAE Systems E&IS operates on what is called a 9/80. This allows for all employees to enjoy a three day weekend every other week with their family. This is an important feature of the company that i feel give the company a great upper hand.

      Cons

      A large downside is that the management structure is extremely heirarchal. At this point and time is has been made evident that this is not the best overall management scheme for the current workplace. It makes work tiring and having multiple indiviudals and lines to go through to get work done can cause alot of issues for a relatively mundane task.

      Pros

      It is one of the few place where there is truly a flexible schedule. The people are very easy going. The pay is decent, i think negotiation and shuffling jobs can greatly improve pay. The benefits are really good 401k matching immediately, medical, dental, vision and pension.

      Cons

      Some lower level management is oblivious to everything. However, everyone is generally nice and flexible. In addition, except for a few groups the office population has an average age in the 50's. Fortunately, as an engineer I did not have to deal with much outside of my groups and projects, because there is a bit of bureaucracy, forms no one reads, etc.

      Pros

      Casual dress is about it. If your an electrical engineer this is a great place to start, but other than that I would not recommend it as a place to start your career.

      Cons

      9/80 work schedule, which seems fair but it really limits your overtime. They'll use it as a selling point, but its much better just to have flex time. The people overall are not top of the line either.
