Pros

Great benefits that start on day 1. 401k, medical, dental. Great safety culture. Salary very decent for a chemical company. Global influence.

Cons

Not much opportunities for growth. Many in upper roles are not moving so will take time to make moves if you are in HR. More growth potential in engineering or commercial roles. People are hand picked for opportunities. Not a fair practice. Management not trustworthy.

Good company, but could be better

Pros

Stable company. Good work-life balance (depending on your manager). Good benefits. Modern headquarters.

Cons

Too political. Impossible to get promoted above middle management, unless you're on the "favorites list." Slow moving / slow at making decisions. Say they don't lay people off, but do so too frequently. Constantly reorganizing.

Pros

Little accountability from upper management gives you freedom to develop your business which is good and bad Lot's of employee engagement items and lunches

Cons

Process and accountability needs to be developed. Because the chemical industry is very profitable you can make mistakes and still do well Merits are down and bonuses are delayed for 2016
