Poor Management, Bad Decisions - avoid

Pros

A moral company, never been asked to do something I thought was sleazy

Cons

Once a year bonus stinks (if you get it), raises are a joke (if you get one - 2% max last year), branches staffed with skeleton crew, technology is worst in the industry, incentive and goal system just doesn't make sense, people are leaving like crazy and those still there want to get out. This used to be a great company.

Pros

Health Care and trust me you'll need it after working there for any length of time.

Cons

Internal politics are horrific!! Senior level managers only listen to those that brown nose them to a horrifying level. You need to have good health care to help with the dread and nausea you have when showing up to work every day. Any time I hear of someone thinking about working at BB&T , I warn them over and over as there is so much opportunity in the Raleigh area, there is NO reason to work in Wilson!! Management knows it's bad, and really doesn't care.

Pros

Benefits are fantastic, flexibility with hours

Cons

Have to be in a position for 18 months before being ale to apply for another internal position without letting your manager know. Managers have been known to prevent internal movement for their own selfish reasons.Tuition reimbursement is a joke. In class only for a measly $3000 reimbursement on a 4 year degree. Training is disastrous. Upper management doesn't spend enough time in the branches to know what's going on day to day.
