Pros

- Some pretty bright, driven, and kind individuals - Lots of work events - Wide array of projects and pretty easy to move around departments - great wlb for some groups at some times

Cons

- Popularity based culture. Be careful, tread lightly. They have blatant and rampant favoritism and value overworking yourself. - bad wlb sometimes; when it is busy it is BUSY and you will be staying late. - Terrible communication; from leadership, HR, coworkers, whatever. essentially, they have an avoidant personality type - Near the low end of the pay scale (for reference approx 69k for entry engineers and mid 20s/hr for entry GIS with approx 2-4% raises) and subpar benefits

We appreciate your feedback and encourage this type of candor on our annual engagement survey, from which we have been able to implement many benefit changes. There is a lot of work and opportunity for growth and all are encouraged to be challenged. Raising hand to take on a challenge or being engaged with leadership at meetings is a smart professional move.

Pros

Free food, but trust me it was the least they could do.

Cons

They spend absorbent amounts of money on their clients and leave scraps for the employees. The whole time I was there I didn't have proper PPE and they wouldn't buy it. This was by far one of the unsafest employers I have ever worked for. The few times I was going to buy PPE, I was told by management that I might not get reimbursed because they did not plan for the expense when they quoted the job. Don't worry they will gaslight you into thinking you are important with small, and i do mean small gestures, but HR is behind it and to Management you are just a number. They don't have your back, No direction, Constantly having to ask what you are doing weekly and even somtimes daily, Gaslighting, Drunk management, Management working from home 2/3rds of the week and not present (phically or otherwise). Very dangerous work enviroments with lack of proper PPE, No SOP for most safety issues( car accidents, injuries, theatened with bodly harm), Management really dosent know what goes on in a technicians work day (nor do they care)

Thank you for this review and opportunity to address some concerns. We provide PPE for all field personnel and encourage feedback on additional field equipment that is needed. Each project site is different, and we do our best to respond when we are told what is needed. It is unfortunate you received advice that didn’t comply with our safety policy, as we take employee safety seriously. We offer a hybrid work week where most positions are eligible to work remote 3 days a week. Thank you for the review.

Great People - Weak Business

Pros

There are a lot of great engineering professionals here. You can learn a lot and take on responsibility early in your career.

Cons

Pay may be comparable or better when compared to small local engineering firms. However, the company seeks to compete with larger regional and national firms but has failed to build a business operation that can compensate accordingly.

Thank you for taking time to share your feedback. We have been examining and incorporating new salary resources to ensure that we are still competitive in our industry and region. Being a smaller company, it is more difficult to match the pay of the large businesses in our region. We strive to counter that with other benefits such as tuition and training reimbursement (mostly at 100%), paid parental leave and up to 3 days per week remote work schedule. Employees are encouraged to provide feedback through our annual surveys or directly to HR.
