Pros

Flexible working hours, location of the office and overall ambiance are definitely positives for the company. Internal transfer policies are great too.

Cons

Frequent strategy changes at org level lead to lot of wasted efforts. There are extended periods where decisions on next deliverables are under hold leading to large teams being unproductive for a while..

Pros

BMC offers a very dynamic and highly interconnected development, where you are exposed to a lot of people from different places all working together on large and integrated products. Good working atmosphere, openness and competitive salary, bonuses and options.

Cons

The organization goes through too many re-orgs. People and teams are being shuffled back and force, the responsibilities are changed too often and most of the time people are cut and you can't really know it will not be you. The organization tries to find an inside job for those being cut, but not always it is possible. Also, a lot of products are legacy and it is not fun working on outdated technologies.
