Pros

A very open working environment Very open to suggestions/Feedbacks related to work or the environment. Pays Good Recognizes good work. Gives good opportunity for Personal Development.

Cons

Lay-offs in past have haunted people. BMC needs to strategize for the future, currently there is a big gap in what BMC provides and what the market is capable of taking. BMC needs to look into various market sections and not concentrate on the top companies.

Pros

Good facilities, average benefits, Great Offshore teams. Senior management pretty effective at solving product issues. Very good focus on customers during pursuit phase, Indian business and technical management are second to none.

Cons

Middle Management too reactive, Mixed bag of consultant quality and people skills, Services ( PMO, Portfolio managers, "Global" delivery managers...) unprepared and forced to play "hot potato" trying to bury rework costs and impact of fixing poorly tested software.

Pros

Great technology, benefits, and pay is market value. Have a good install base and receive a large revenue stream from that. Made very good acquisitions over the years buying best of breed technology. Market leader in certain sectors.

Cons

The strategy is where there is no direction, growth is flat, and talent level has dissipated as roles aren't clearly defined and management is on a turntable as they are attempting to do more with less. Privately held after long stint as a public company aka the beginning of the end, the ship is slowly sinking. Wouldn't be shocked if a larger more nimble company bought the pieces eventually. Tons of complacent workers happy collecting a check. New customers are hard to obtain and lots of customers leaving.
