      Cost cutting all around in EMEA

      Steady growth. From the bottom to middle management there's a great team of people working in the EMEA region.

      Cons

      cost cutting cost cutting cost cutting. No salary hike in three years. Benefits that are binged. You are lucky to keep your own room.

      good for architects, bad for lower level engineers

      Pros

      relatively stable engineering department. despite work being moved to india, engineers are accomodated to other product teams. all attrition is based on performance only.

      Cons

      since most work is moving to india, engineers are under pressure to work at lead and architect level. workplace is cramped, and office benefits (cafeteria, gym, etc) are being eliminated quickly.

      Pros

      Highly ethical organization. Long-term commitment to doing the right thing. Great people. Very financially stable, conservative.

      Cons

      Current management views employees as expendable assets and could care less if any particular employee stays or go. Compensation has been moving steadily from the field to the executive ranks over last 3 years.
