Treated like purchased labor on government contract
Pros
BTAS was able to secure work on a government contract in Colorado Springs, filled the required small business position slots but then left the employees to work under other contractors without any communication, support or guidance.
Cons
BTAS management knew little about the work expectations or communication channels required for employees to do the job that was required. No performance evaluations were given to employees, performance feedback was not requested by the supervisor and employees were unable to get feedback from the customer. Contract was extended by the government 6 times within a 5 month period but the employees did not find out about job/benefit status until ~3 days before each contract expiration. Employee concerns about contract vagueness were not addressed by BTAS managers but avoided.
