Pros

International but Personal: Despite being an international company, BVI isn't so large that you get lost in the crowd. You have the opportunity to really get to know your colleagues, even across different functions. Friendly Atmosphere and Continuous Feedback: The atmosphere here is friendly, coupled with a culture of continuous feedback. Feedback from managers and peers is provided daily, not just at the end-of-year review. This feedback isn’t just about areas for improvement but also includes appreciation for what you do well, making me feel recognized for my performance. Supportive Management: I receive a lot of support from my direct supervisor and her manager. They genuinely care about my well-being and job satisfaction, frequently checking on my workload and offering help when needed. They care about more than just numbers and results. Impactful Work: At BVI, I feel that my decisions and actions matter. Coming from a huge corporation where I felt like just a number, it’s refreshing to see the real impact of my work. Growth Opportunities: The company is growing and developing, providing ample opportunities for career advancement. Seeing these opportunities is very motivating. Flexible Work Environment: BVI offers flexibility with working hours and a hybrid model, which helps balance work and personal life. Meaningful Projects: I appreciate working on various projects that contribute to my growth, rather than just doing repetitive tasks. It’s fulfilling to be part of meaningful work. Overall, I would highly recommend BVI to people who want to do something meaningful and work on diverse projects that help them grow.

Cons

Process Organization: Not all processes are perfectly organized. While it’s good that there’s room for improvement and I can have an impact, some processes are too manual, which can be confusing and time-consuming. Backup System: We are currently working on improving the backup system to better support our colleagues during absences.

Pros

It is great to work for a company that gives you the freedom to run projects and ideas that you believe will improve the company's performance. Nobody checks the work at each step, as long as you deliver on promises.

Cons

post covid office closure and budget restrictions means you don't meet with colleagues as much as you would like to
