Challenging Technical Work Team leads and co-workers always willing to help work through issues Competitive pay scale Good work-life balance

Cons

Highly detailed work can be tedious (pouring over engineering drawings to verify dimensions in lengthy calculations) Limited design input. Between detailed customer specifications and a (very understandable) preference for proven materials, components, and fabrication techniques, there is less appetite for novel design solutions. This is more a disadvantage of working in the industry than specific to BWXT
