Pros

Pay was good, and work was not stressful, some interesting projects and lots of freedom in making my own schedule

Cons

Lots of military vets with no qualifications in the field, bringing in their friends also without qualifications, and creating cliques like it was high school. If you’re not in with the group, they want you out yesterday. Lots of tolerance and enabling of bad behaviors and disrespect in the name of “not being politically correct”. Some projects are interesting, but their main product is just scary. I know Glassdoor says this is anonymous, but I’m sure Babel will find out who this is, it’s what they do.

Pros

Hard working and dedicated individuals that support impactful technology

Cons

Complete and total lack of leadership and worse than that, leadership who has no real understanding of what it takes to GTM in key industries because they're not from those worlds, don't understand them and their siloed, authoritarian approach to leadership creates a morale killing environment. Way to many internal meetings and slog work that creates more paralysis by analysis than I've ever experienced and there is too much rigidity with internal processes. The business model and comp plan does not support the sales staff in the way I've experienced it in the past 15+ years of being in SW sales/account management.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and insights from your time at Babel Street. We deeply value feedback like yours as it helps us continue to grow and improve. We’re pleased to hear that you recognized the dedication of our team and the impact of our technology. At the same time, we regret that aspects of your experience, particularly around leadership, internal processes, and support for our sales teams, didn’t meet your expectations. We’ve recently welcomed a new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) who brings a wealth of experience in our key industries. This addition reflects our ongoing efforts to strengthen our leadership and align with our go-to-market strategy. Additionally, we review our compensation plans annually to ensure they are competitive with the market and designed to support both our employees and the company’s success. Your feedback highlights important areas where we can do better, and we’re committed to addressing these challenges. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and appreciate your contributions during your time at Babel Street.

Pros

Free Benefits and Unlimited PTO

Cons

There are a few cons I have encountered in my current work situation, particularly with management. One issue is that they have not provided me with the opportunity to demonstrate my abilities and skills. Additionally, their management style is quite unconventional, which can make it challenging to understand and navigate their expectations. Another concern is that they occasionally use fake names to carry out tasks, which is not in line with a professional corporate culture.
