Pros

Flexible hours, engaging atmosphere, fulfilling work for extroverts. Simple dress code. Earlier closing time (on the weekend) than other restaurants/bars. Lots of team-oriented work.

Cons

Lots of team-oriented work (yes, both a pro and a con). Didn't feel like there was a very clear or common path towards management, I only ever saw one other server make it to manager. Even then, they were not "supposed" to manage at the same restaurant they worked as a server at. Your experience at work can be heavily dependent on your team for the day and the clientele, but that is common for any forward-facing role.

Management is the best, great pay, great food and the employees are all fun at outgoing

Cons

Not a lot of hours when it’s slow in the season, no set schedule.
