Pros

- easy - management doesn’t pay attention to what you do on your computer if you’re not busy - can work out on Pilates equipment at lunch time & take inexpensive Pilates classes offered throughout the day on your lunch

Cons

- sitting in a cubicle for 8 hours - not much around the area to keep you occupied at lunch time or breaks - was promised a much higher “salary after commissions” than achievable. I was one of very few who hit their quota, and still wasn’t making nearly as much as was promised. - not very understanding of personal issues outside of work - if short staffed, will drop lunch down to 30 minutes without notice - not a real sales position - everything is pretty much based on luck. People call in to buy equipment which they are already sold on. The only “sales” part is trying to upsell them, but even then you’re only making 0.55% off each sale. - management is salary and therefore leaves whenever they feel like, aka not always available for assistance - extremely unorganized

Pros

Great top of the line products, option to take pilates on lunch, good medical benefits for the employee. Nice new, clean building

Cons

Unequal treatment, low pay, too many hours. No benefits provided for family, available only at high expense to employee. Open workspace is disruptive

Pros

Balanced Body still has the feeling of a small company. I like the relaxed and creative atmosphere. Everyone is friendly. Pilates classes here are awesome. Big focus on recycling. CEO is very personable. The company events are a lot of fun. I like working for a company that makes products that improve the lives of others.

Cons

Compensation for production could be better. Because of the volume of orders there is almost perpetual overtime which can get old. Backbiting often creates a decisive attitude.
