Pros

Love most of the residents, but seeing how badly they ( mostly bed bound residents ) are treated on a daily basis is hard. They aren’t showered/ checked for health issues , given meds, or even given the chance to get out of bed . People are literally wasting away. They send people to the hospital daily for their lack of care at the center ! Not a place for care. If you want to do a short term Recovery it’s fine. But if you don’t have the means, or family support you will waste away due to lack of care . They need more staff, but the staff there really don’t care enough for them to do anything. I do my best to help the residents on a daily basis and do what I can to help them. It’s not a happy place to work, but luckily I have my tribe of happy people to keep me going. We need more reliable staff, better pay and paid holidays. But for that, I might have to work elsewhere.

Cons

As above. Terrible care, administration all about numbers, not people

Pros

This is the premiere social impact center in the world. Gives you great experience, research, and opportunities.

Cons

There is sometimes a lack of direction within the job and you have to make your own hours at times.
