Pros

Some great people. a really solid product, Paid Paid Vacation is nice (though, 2k pretax doesn't go very far anymore)

Cons

Low and inconsistent pay, inconsistent policies on who can work out of state and what roles can be out of state, a weirdly Stepford Wives-ish culture. Severe lack of diversity.

Thank you so much for your candid feedback about pay, leader decisions around eligible states, culture and diversity. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the people you worked with and our product - we think it's pretty great too! We strive for our benefits to be competitive and recently improved our paid paid vacation benefit for milestone anniversary years, but we hear you on how far that can go depending on your destination! We take feedback seriously and are always striving to make improvements for our team members. Thanks, Anita, Head of HR

Pros

In theory it's their benefits, but they don't offset the low pay

Cons

Pay, management, growing pains, culture, and saturated market.

Best place I've ever worked

Pros

Company values are realized. (Not just a facade). People are always trying to walk the walk here. Unlike so many other workplaces, the founders created a place devoid of politics and political behaviors. If anyone happens to be prone to these things when they get in, it won't get them anywhere, and it quickly diffuses. I personally don't know anyone at this company who is only in it for themselves, and people are actually invested in what the product can do to help client companies and workplaces take better care of their employees. Leadership cares about their employees in very real way. "What you see is what you get" actually applies here! They're big on transparency to employees in company meetings.

Cons

Sometimes people are so stinking nice that they need to practice more of the radical cador the leadership has asked for. You're not helping anyone if you're so nice that you don't quickly tell them how they can improve. If you actually care about someone's success (and everyone I know here does), then help them succeed by telling them! Also, it's rough that the genuinity of the culture takes a solid 3 months to sink in. Usually it's a "deer in headlights" or "how do I even operate in place like this?" feeling. ;-)
