Pros
The product is top tier. The system sells its self and now that we have more insight into the roadmap and where the company is headed with the software it make the job fun and makes me excited about the future. Pay is okay, benefits are great although some of them are a bit outdated and would love a revamp in what they offer. Great culture and love the people I work with, I dont get micromanaged which is nice.
Cons
They pay scale for salary needs to be changed, commission needs to be adjusted and quota needs to be lowered. If you want your salespeople to stay and be happy, sell more etc make the quota more attainable. Very few people hit their goals and the fear of losing a job is very high. Listen to your employees. If you don't want to raise pay, give a large amount of stock (RSU's) to the employees. (Thousands not hundreds) most people who work for a company long term before a sale or IPO (IDK if any of this will happen) become wealthy once that sale or IPO happens. having a few hundred or even a thousand stocks doesn't do much and doesn't make the employees feel like BambooHR wants them to stay around to help grow the company. I would be okay with not having a pay increase but having 5,000 stock options. Makes me want to stay and I see BambooHR investing in me just as much as they are asking me to invest in them. This costs them no additional money and I would only get this if I stay through vesting. This also allows me to feel like the company wants me to stay. Adjust quota to be less, have more people hit goal which then promotes the company and you get better quality sales people applying working here and staying here and offer more in regards to stock.
