Pros

The best thing about working there is the people. Everyone is kind, supportive, and more than happy to help. Over my time there, I was able to work under a manager that cared deeply about helping me reach my career goals and did everything within his power to provide opportunities to learn and grow as an engineer. Everyone at Bamboo cares deeply for the company values and actually has conversations about living them. It's a phenomenal place to work. Coming from the highest levels of the organization, they work incredibly hard to do the right thing and are very fair with their employees. In short: - The company values / culture - The people (some of the best i've ever worked with - The benefits (Paid Paid Vacation is a really cool idea) - Opportunities to make close friends - The product is going in a really exciting (and strategic) direction

Cons

One challenge a lot of employees do encounter working there is that advancement opportunities don't come as often as they could (or perhaps should). It can be difficult to be recognized on an organization-level. BHR could also be a little more competitive with base salary. That said, it's important to note that a significant portion of the total compensation comes from the benefits/perks. Don't forget to factor that into your decision when evaluating an offer from BHR! They are far more benefits oriented than most companies (which was a good thing in my opinion)

Pros

Everyone is so nice including the managers. Trainings are seamless and they really get you ready to be successful. They have one on ones often to go over things you need to work on/help with and just go over where you are at for the month which I really like. The product itself is awesome so it really is easy to sale to because you yourself will like it. The culture their is probably the best I have ever experienced in any job I have had. You will love it!

Cons

They don't offer a great maternity leave package but there are many other benefit pros that they offer like Paid paid vacation :)

Pros

Overall, I find that BambooHR truly trusts and values their employees. After nearly two years here, I have found that they live by their motto–"Set people free to do great work."–very well in most cases. This leads to a great deal of autonomy and freedom to become the expert in your area, and play an important role in the growth of a top company. Bamboo's benefits are amazing. Their pay is fair (though not as high as other top tech companies). You also won't see people working more than 40 hours a week very often, which is rare, especially in marketing. Bamboo genuinely cares about their employees. There are a lot of other good things I could say about Bamboo, but the last one worth mentioning are the career and personal growth opportunities. Bamboo is undergoing some ridiculous growth right now, and I find that they're very open to people making lateral or upward movement within the company in order to find their ideal fit. Yes, you have to work for opportunities like these, but I think that would be true in most companies. Bamboo has had higher marketing turnover in recent months, but in general, it seems that the people who leave are being offered irresistible money (we're talking increases of 30-50k/year. There's a lot of great talent here, and other companies recognize that. Oh, and a triple thumbs up for how Bamboo has handled COVID-19!

Cons

Bamboo's pay is fair, but it's definitely on the lower end when stacked up against other top tech companies (again, at least in marketing). As I've mentioned before, Bamboo's lower pay allows other top companies to poach some of their best talent, which has become a pain point for a lot of teams. Bamboo's paternity leave is lackluster. Very minimalist when it comes to perks and swag.
