      Good place to start insurance career

      Pros

      It's a good place to start insurance selling, they have decent training and go on appointments with you. Overall they have ok support for new agents and help you for the first 2 months. After that you are on your own.

      Cons

      its 5 years before you own your renewals. They promise qualified leads but 99% of it is cold calling lists. Commissions can be higher at other insurance carriers. You aren't allowed to sell for any other company but bankers which limits your service to the client.

      Pros

      It seems as though the majority of people posting didn't actually take the job. Yes, it is a commission only job. They are up front about it. Yes, they do set your hours, but they do so in order to help you get your business off the ground. This company does a very good job of training new people, and I have found that the other agents are very helpful. There is good money to be made from helping people be protected, if you're not afraid to work. Incentives and bonus programs are also available.

      Cons

      Working evenings - but that this the nature of the work. You have to see people when they are available.

      Most managers are good at allowing work/life balance when necessary.

      Cons

      No advancement opportunities, no career path to speak of, very limited exposure, horrible raises, the performance review program is a joke.
