Zero Management absent Branch Manager

Business Outlook

Pros

Quick hiring process and onboarding.

Cons

My experience was so bad it is hard to believe these recent reviews are accurate. Maybe change finally Ihappemrd. California location. Zero training. Fortunately I came with experience. The manager was never present. Banker played on his phone all day. Operations manager was not qualified to run branch. Systems antiquated for a large bank. Manager was always absent solo player disregarding the team as whole. Low pay. The racism and prejudice was obvious and the attitude of the entire branch. I learned more about the managers workout regime than I did Banner Bank.

Pros

- Company Culture: Banner Bank fosters an inclusive company culture. - Community Involvement: Banner Bank is committed to community involvement.

Cons

- Limited Opportunities in Some Locations: Depending on the geographical location, career advancement opportunities and development programs are limited. - Compensation: The compensation and benefits package at Banner Bank are not competitive. Additionally, the salary grade structure has been changed, making it harder to get a raise in certain areas. Employees may need to get a job offer elsewhere to have their salary matched or get promoted, which may lead to challenges in the long term due to limited opportunities for advancement. - Workload and Stress: Due to cutting out valuable positions, they have created a larger workload for all employees, especially in retail banking. As part of the Banner Forward initiative, they delegated more duties to branch staff.

Pros

Banner has some great employees on the front lines, most managers and other employees are great to work with. There are a good amount of benefits if you decide to use them: - dental and medical insurance - 401k - PTO - Free accounts for employees Etc.

Cons

Pay for this position isn't great, as you normally do more than one persons job due to outdated systems or technology the branches don't have. PTO for this position and experience level is 10 days, plus 2 personal days, as well as a floating holiday some years. (Does go to 15 days PTO after 5 years and does go up again at 10+ years.) There is no other vacation option besides taking PTO, and some management won't let you take the days until you accrue them, though most aren't like that.
