We appreciate your taking the time to share your thoughts on Banner, and would like to take this opportunity to respond. Your comments were made in Q1 2015, and it was your opinion that at that time our technical capabilities were not as strong as they could be. We highly disagree. Over the decades—and certainly in 2015--our teams of select engineers, coupled with our advanced technology and great investment in R&D (for example, advanced R&D in ASICS, digital signal processing, electronics, LIDAR, 3D Imaging, and advanced manufacturing systems), has enabled us to effectively conceive, develop, engineer, manufacture and bring myriad new products to market…and we’ve grown even stronger since your time with us. Our new R&D facility, which is slated to open in Q3 2018, will more than double the amount of space allocated for R&D, and will give us state-of-art facilities for our growing R&D team. We’ve also significantly expanded our product portfolio in the last three years, including higher performance measurement and inspection sensors, and many wireless and IIOT-related smart products. We continue to invest in and grow our technical teams by inviting highly-talented engineers to join Banner, all to meet the growing demand for our products. As a leader in this very technical industry, it’s only through the strength and dedication of our engineering and support teams that we’ve been able to continue our growth, year-after-year.

Pros

If you want a relaxed environment where you can hide, this is your place

Cons

Top leadership doesn't want you to think, just follow what they've always done. The engineering leadership is unwarrantedly egotistical. They grew up in the company but anywhere else they would not survive in their roles. Their business model is to copy competitors, offer it at a lower price, and have good customer service. From an engineering perspective, copying known good products in the market is fairly uninspiring.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I am glad to see that you are pleased with the variety of shifts we offer employees, and that we are accommodating employees to make the job as easy as possible. We value and consider all feedback! We do our best to remain consistent among employees and are continually seeking feedback on how we can improve in this area. Over the past several years, made have some changes to focus on increasing flexibility for employees and are continually evaluating those changes, as well as new ideas to ensure we are remaining fair to all employees. I encourage you to speak with a member of our management team in person if you are still having concerns regarding any part that politics might play in your role at Banner.
