The eat their young. They hire new grad nurses with the promise of experience to get your dream job later and then run you into the ground. Often under staffed. Managers only care about numbers. They try to get the pts out as soon as possible even when every nurse on the floor agrees they’re still too sick to be discharged. There are a few good charge nurses, but most expect you to be running crazy 24/7, get angry if you even sit down to chart, assign you extra work if they think you do t have enough to do already, then get upset when you don’t make it to lunch on time.
They claim to be a non profit, pay their nurses next to nothing (while saying they’re competitive with wages), while the CNO/ CEO drive expensive cars. Then you find out they’re opening a for profit For hospital so they can “donate” funds to them in order to pocket the money...
