      Poor experience. Worked there for 3 years and everything that could go wrong did.

      Pros

      In Barclays New York, there are great networking events with WiN and WiT. Salaries are quite generous compared to competitors.

      Cons

      Very weak management. Technology sector is collapsing. Projects constantly put on hold an moved to the UK. Benefits are lacking for such a big bank. Health insurance is Blue Cross Blue Shield which is not the best and not accepted everywhere. Business and Technology are laying off and displacing employees constantly.

      There's still some collegial culture left over from Lehman Brothers

      Cons

      The "Wild West" culture has nearly taken over. Also, the bank itself is shrinking because of all the legal issues due to aforementioned culture.

      Pros

      nothing to talk about this company. The management in Jersey City (IT division, now moved to Whippany) is clue less. Some one should speak to Perry Metviner to get rid of age old managers who are hanging out there like parasites without working hard.
