      Full of processes yet challenging experience

      Pros

      The firm is on it's way to reinvent itself. Senior managers are putting innovation as the primary target for everyone within the firm. On the technology end, you'll notice themes such as mobile, social media on the forefront of every town hall. Definitely a great place to challenge the status quo.

      Cons

      While trying to catch up to other firms, there's always the dreaded "legacy systems" everyone has to deal with. Also since it is a bank, regulator scrutiny is constant. Making everything processes heavy.

      Aside from few nice people and sometimes work-life balance (depending on department), none

      Cons

      Unless you are British or have "brown nose" don't expect to get anywhere in this company. Cons are not limited to: Career advancement and recognition of efforts, Promotion process and reviews, Rotten Internal politics, Pay and bonuses compare to the street. Just to give you a flavor attrition rate is ~15-17% and goes as high as 33-34% in some departments. That should tell you something if 1 out of every 4 people leaves the company dissatisfied

      Disappointing - WORST place for career advancement

      Pros

      Work/life balance is good - they are flexible about allowing you to take time off for personal matters. Benefits is comparable to other big banks

      Cons

      Absolutely horrible place for career advancement. Clubby, with a select few keeping the bonuses and promotions to themselves. Try to get what money you can when you join, because you forget about getting a dime more afterwards. High turnover. High level of dissatisfaction among employees. I had worked at other banks, and have never experienced such frustration among fellow employees.
