      - Good Brand name - Great place to learn - Smart people -Some mobility to different groups/departments

      Cons

      Horrific compensation structure that is hindering the company's ability to retain talent. Analysts are pain OT, and most of them end up making more than AVPs (who don't get paid bonus). - Very long hours for little pay - Unreasonable deadlines (Directors want to look good so you are stuck in the office until midnight) - Extremely stressful/ high pressure environment - Many supports functions are being outsourced - poor job stability

      -Trading Floor is fast paced. Strong rates + credit + EM franchises -Not afraid to innovate and use technology to beat competitors -Good culture

      -Bad management ever since Bob Diamond was forced out -Upper management turning focus away from Investment banking and towards safer commercial banking

      Once had a brand name before the acquiring Lehman . Benefits

      Cons

      Constant layoffs and offshoring creating low moral and a political environment. Forced ranking system that places hard working staff into "Does not Meet Objectives" categories to justify the offshore and staff reduction objectives. Limited to no advancement opportunities Senior management changes. ie. 6 management changes in 4 years. Layoffs managed very poorly and people treated very poorly during the exiting process. Quality staff leave once they get settled seeing the lack of advancement, constant reduction in compensation, long hours and highly political environment.
