Pros

Working for this company only gets better over time. This is one of the first places that I have worked at that each day I love my job more and more. I look forward to being around the people I work with and doing my job. I feel respected, valued, and strongly feel as though management has me in their best interest. I know that my hard work will be rewarded and that career advancement is in my reach. I have found that this company is extremely flexible with my schedule and is an amazing place for students to get real world experience and start their career, but still get reasonable pay. They work around your school schedule. I feel as though the outlook is as long as you get your job done and you work the amount of hours a week you are suppose to, you are fine.

Cons

It is still a small company that is growing, but they are growing quickly. They are, however, good at addressing their problems and searching for a better solution.

Great Place to Build A Career

Pros

As a small company, there is lots of opportunity to grow and do different things. Because you are not pigeon-holed into specific tasks, it makes it very easy to grow and branch into different areas. In a small company that is willing to let you grow and develop, you can always find more things to keep you learning and interested. The people are very nice, and the offices are neat to work in. It isn't a high-rise downtown, which is nice. The compensation is fair, and the family that runs it is generous and appreciative of employees. Because there is so much to do, I feel like I have a lot of things that I have learned that will translate well to other jobs and help me build my career. I feel like I have gotten experience far beyond what I would be able to get at another job.

Cons

The main cons are related to the pros. Since there is so much to do in a small company, it is easy to learn and hold a lot of strings until you are overwhelmed. It seems like things are in crisis a lot (again as a small company), which can get tiring. Overall though, it is far outweighed by the opportunity to do lots of different and unique things.

Flexible Family-run Company

Pros

People are very warm, generally roles and responsibilities are pretty fluid and you can do as little or as much as you want with your position. They are very slow to fire, so jobs feel pretty secure. There are fun perks like discounts at the store, dogs in the office, occasional parties and competitions. People are supportive of each other for the most part. There is a ton to learn as you will be wearing a lot of hats and the work you do is likely to make a significant impact on a pretty large company. Not sure where the long hours are coming from in the other reviews... the whole office is cleared out except for 1 or 2 people by 5:30pm.

Cons

There is a general lack of direction and leadership in some ways... all members of the family that owns it are "in charge" even if not officially your boss, and they are not always in sync. They are good people, so that helps... it can just be frustrating to work in that environment. Benefits arent the best. PTO is pretty limited.
