Pros

This place was hands down all about Customer Service, even if it meant making less money in the end. They also do things for the community. For example, every year they have the Easter Bunny, Santa Clause, and other events in-store for holidays.

Cons

Although this was a great place to work, the fact of the matter remains that it is retail. Thus, all of the headaches that working in retail can cause apply here.

Pros

advancement in a way. learn a lot, regarding licenses and regulations. almost always busy it seems. fun environment. i've been with this company almost 6 years, and i was only made full time in the last week actually. i've learned quite a bit, i started as a cashier, moved to customer service, to operator, and then the cash office and now am a full time cashier. i'm referred to as a mini-lead.

Cons

low pay for the amount of work put out. you work very hard and sometimes lunches and breaks are over looked. usually short staffed. for my department at least, there's no sign of acknowledgement for how hard you work over the holidays or just in general. there are a really high number of foot traffic in the holiday, classics, and just weekends. i put in a huge amount of hours every anniversary, and i was part time, and my pay raise was only like a $.025 more.

Pros

Great People on teams to work with. Great Upper level Customer Service group to resolve the issues. Amazing products to promote for the outdoor enthusiast!!

Cons

The only real interaction with your supervisor is the "coaching" sessions to tell you what you are doing wrong! Some months you can find out if your ranking is adequate/decent, but rarely rewarded verbally. Veteran Employees get away with lying to customers about Credit Cards and various products just to make an Upsell, and when you are newer and use the same methods, you lose your ranking or get written up!
