I am proud to work for a company that stands by their mission to give back to the community and bring discovery to the masses. Coworkers are kind, helpful and driven towards a shared goal of success. Battelle will match up to $10K annually to your favorite eligible charities. New discoveries are encouraged, and you can submit ideas for research.

Cons

Not a downside in my opinion, but this is a company of go-getters. You are going to succeed farther here if you bring solutions to management instead of waiting for them to point out a problem.

Battelle's magic in part is the mission of discovering new technologies that make the world a safer, better and smarter place to live. The people that make this happen every day are what make it a great company. There is so much talent and drive at Battelle, you can't help but think anything is possible. Its never boring and the work is challenging in a good way. Additional pros: - 9/80 Work Schedule (every other Friday off) - Competitive pay and benefits - They match up to $10K annually to your favorite eligible charities - Flexible schedule based on manager approval - Employee education and growth is encouraged - On-site Gym (in Columbus) and great health & fitness programming - On-site Electric Vehicle charging - Tuition Assistance - Non-profit status means we support the next generation through STEM education support - Public Loan Forgiveness

Cons

I've heard long-term employees raise concerns about cuts to the pension and benefits, but the 401K match is better than most, and the benefits are on par if not better than similar research companies.
