Great while it lasted, let go after buyout by Valeant

Great people in Research and Development.

Cons

Too many management changes, lack of long term focused direction for R&D. Cut backs by Valeant will eventually end the B&L brand.

Pros

Great training program. The perks at this company are awesome. Also they have a marketing department. The job itself is a good job and the accounts are usually friendly. OD's are very easy going doctors.

Cons

There is no stability from the top down in this company. There is minimal room for growth. Upper management fosters nepitisim. Extremely conservative company "with a good ol boys feel to it" Women, ethnic minorities, or gays need not apply to upper management.

Used to be a great place to work before acquired by Valeant.

Great benefits, decent salary, big name in Eye Health, products help millions of people everyday. Commute is pretty easy from anywhere.

Cons

Not much internal development, managers are only worried about themselves instead of developing talent. Valeant takeover has killed morale and it is not a fun place to work at this time.
