good vacation package at times.

Cons

The possibilities for being promoted from within are slim to none The CEO and his friends who came from other companies run the show inside talent is underestimated HR staff needs to be revisited managers are ruthless. HR does not protect employee confidentiality when they report management misconduct.

The outlook for this company is nothing but fantastic! Awesome pipeline of product launches in all 3 business units. There has been significant change but the corner is turning. Excitement is building and leadership is insistent on hiring top talent. Vision Care Sales force is energized!

Cons

There are employees within the Rochester site that live for the "old days" which are not the same as today. They do not see the positives and the new competitive world we are in. These folks wallow in the past. They need to look at the world outside of B+L and realize how good they have it. The grass is NOT always greener on the other side.

The surgical division of BL is a very toxic, very dysfuntional enviroment and has been that way for years.

Pros

Good benefits package, There is a strong 401k package that is roughly a 1.5 to 1 match. Respectable healthcare package as well.

Cons

Consistent Senior management changes every 12 - 18 months. You can count 8 different people leading the Surgical division since 2001. Way too much turnover at the top. New VP Sales doesn't know Ophthalmology at all. No future product portfolio to get excited about.
