Pros

Beacon took me in with no experience and taught me everything I know. I went through training from ABT to BT, CPR training through the company and even began the masters program to become a behavior analyst.

Cons

Employees don’t seem to last very long long

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are disappointed to read your comments about your experience. In the past few years, we have improved our pay scale and benefits for ABA salaried staff. Since Beacon provides in-home services to children throughout the state, we take great care to maintain small regional areas to prevent staff from long commutes between home visits. This however is not unique to Beacon, and we find that these regions are typically smaller than other ABA home-based providers. We value your feedback as we aim to ensure a positive experience for all our staff members, and we encourage you to reach out to us at support@beaconservices.org to further discuss your comments.

Pros

-working with kids -working with families -opportunities for advancement

Cons

-frequent cancellations -not paid for all working hours -management is overwhelmed and come across as ‘checked out’ (hard to reach, lack of communication, poor supervision, client programs sit untouched and without updated for months) -poor training

We are sorry to hear that your experience has not met your expectations. Cancellations are an unfortunate challenge that all ABA agencies experience, and Beacon works alongside families to minimize unexpected cancellations and reschedule when necessary. To ensure that our staff is being compensated appropriately, we’ve implemented changes to improve the pay scale and benefits for our staff and offer staff who participate in outside of session administrative work with an elevated direct service hourly rate. Beacon places an emphasis on staff support and training, and we are disappointed to read your comments regarding your experience. Extensive staff training is offered throughout every level of our organization, and we have a support system in place that is designed to ensure that our team members have assistance and guidance when needed. We appreciate your feedback as we aim to ensure a positive experience for all our staff members, and we encourage you to contact us at support@beaconservices.org to further discuss your comments.
