Pros

My department is small, we have a great family atmosphere. Patient cases can be challenging but increase knowledge of procedures.

Cons

Our department doesn't have room to expand, we are land locked. We also seem to be forgotten by upper management as they don't ever visit the department.

Fairly stable up to now. Elkhart is a good community to live and raise kids in. Enjoy living in Indiana.

Cons

Uncertainty about future, poor communication from admin and management, lack of trust, etc. Tired of feeling out of the loop.

Coworkers are great to work with. Enjoy the location. Wonderful physicians to work with. I would prefer to work for beacon over other healthcare systems in our area

Cons

Unorganized without much thought to the plan. Often put the chart before the horse. Sometimes runs staff too lean and don't listen to our input.
