Pros

Middle Management: ● They listen to and value their associates. ● They focus on career development and place associates on projects that suit associates' interests and career objectives. They "go to bat" for their associates

Cons

Senior Leadership is absolutely HORRIBLE!!! ● They constantly blame middle management for low associate engagement but don't permit middle management to give associates any engagement improvement incentives. ● They hire VPs like water for any and every role imaginable while keeping the heart of the workforce as lean as possible working with the least amount of incentives possible. Top leadership ensures they get the most benefits (highest salaries, remote work, unrestricted travel, highest employee compensation and annual increases) while the working associates that make the company what it is get bread crumb incentives (little to no annual increases, no permitted travel, on-site 5 days a week) They constantly have a "do more, faster" mindset after associates gave them "the largest product launch in company history" during a global pandemic.

Pros

Good people. Some opportunitues

Cons

Running us lean. Feel like I cant breathe everytime I am at work. Ever since Danaher acquired Microscan, we've been overworked. We do not replace those weve fired or retired. We lack the appropriate resources and they just load us up with more to do. Ive also noticed less and less emphasis on quality. The company is primarily focused on releasing product ontime/early and prefer shortcuts as long as deadlines are met. The salary is also subpar. Especially considering I've been here 15 plus years. You pick up new responsibilities and work with no positive returns. No promotion opportunities, movement.

Pros

Great people and PTO. Good experience and flexibility to learn new things.

Cons

Under Danaher umbrella Microscan became very lean, in product and employees. Good employees are leaving left and right and management is not doing jack about it. Corporation and VPs preach about retaining employees and hiring within, then I see new employees hired with much greater pay than those that have done a great job here for years. HR does not even keep up with the current economy, new talent cannot thrive or even start a life here in Sacramento at their current pay rate. Communicating with senior management all the way to VP is pointless! No one listens and no one cares until everything is falling apart. Production equipment is outdated decades ago and is not replaced until critical failures occur, then company pays out the rear for rentals and requests emergency funding and implementing costing much more than if it was replaced at appropriate intervals. Short staffed all the time, list of projects keeps growing like a tumor yet no one else is hired and a lot of people are retiring soon.
