Pros

Best part of the job- working with the kiddos! I love interacting with them, playing with them, and best of all- seeing their progress as you go. It is the most rewarding feeling knowing that YOU are part of that impact in that child's life. Also, having to get the parent's trust is so fulfilling. It motivates you to keep doing your job. I get motivated to go to sessions and know that I can help parents and the kiddo. I enjoy when case managers come to session as well and provide constructive criticism and also recognize when doing well. It really helps you grow! Pros- Great staff! Supervisors are always willing to help professionally and personally. I have had the blessing of being able to rely on my supervisor (liaison) significantly. If I have any questions regarding the client, tips & strategies, professional advancement, my schedule, or just any general questions, she is willing to help. *Not every work place has that.* Staff really motivates you to pursue higher education and it's so nice to know that if you have any questions, they are always willing to answer or guide you to the right direction.

Cons

Scheduling and low hours: I always have to ask for more hours every week due to cancellations so it gets tiring after a while. However, it is part of the job as almost every ABA therapy position has that issue. Hardest part of the job- having clients' parents to work with you and the team to better the clients' progress (not all clients but some).

Thank you for your positive feedback! You sound so passionate about your work here, and this is what we want others to know about when they're checking out Behavior Frontiers! The work - while challenging - is SO rewarding, whether it be seeing a client's language blossom or watching a parent successfully manage an outburst. No two days or sessions are the same, and that keeps the work fresh and fun! We also strive for *all* of our Directors and Managers to be as supportive as yours has been - YOU are the next generation of behavior analysts, so it's our job to teach and mold and grow you into a better and better clinician every time we are out to see you! As for the low hours - yes, that can happen, it's unfortunately part of this field, particularly when clients cancel. We are actively implementing various strategies to try to encourage clients to cancel less. We do encourage you to keep in frequent communication with your scheduler and liaison manager about the hours you want - if we are able to, we will find you hours whenever possible! Thank you for your dedication and passion to our San Jose region - so happy to have you with us!

Thank you for your input. Glad to hear you enjoy your co-workers, and that your supervisors have been helpful. While client cancellations can affect weekly hours, please know that we are making many efforts to keep cancellations to a minimum so that our staff can depend on a more regular paycheck. We encourage you to speak with your scheduler and liaison manager, so that they are aware of your requested hours. They will work tirelessly to get staff to their desired hours per week. Glad to have you as a part of Team Riverside!

Thank you for your review! We're happy to hear you have had positive experiences with your managers and co-workers. As you mention, we do offer flexible hours - we do this so that we can accommodate our staff who are students, have young children of their own, or have other jobs. As for communication with parents, we have found that when communications go through the proper channels (scheduling or case manager), this yields a "best practice" model. We always encourage parents and behavior technicians to communicate *during session,* so that outside of session discussions / phone calls aren't needed. Happy to have you on board in Bakersfield!
