Pros

You'll fall in love with the clients. Reimbursement for time and mileage if having multiple clients in the day.

Cons

Organization felt unorganized and unstructured.

Pros

Good DTT training, but not all kiddos benefit from strict DTT.

Cons

Supervisor gave no positive reinforcement when giving feedback, instead focused only on the wrong things. Also, was promised to receive supervision hours and in the 6 months I worked there I did not get assigned to any BCBA.

We are glad that you liked the portion of our Behavior Instructor training on the DTT method. We also understand that children with autism may benefit from DTT and Naturalistic Teaching Strategies, or NATS, which is why we provide our Behavior Instructors with two NATS trainings, as well as a training on Play Skills and Social Facilitation, as part of their initial behavior instructor training. As for feedback, our managers, supervisors, and directors are trained to give positive feedback when behavior instructors meet or exceed their performance expectations. In addition, our incentive program provides the opportunity for behavior instructors, who meet or exceed their performance expectations, to receive incentive points each month, which may be redeemed for gift cards, bonuses, and other items. With regard to BCBA supervision, it sounds like there may have been a misunderstanding on your side, since we typically provide BCBA supervision to senior behavior instructors and case managers, not to new behavior instructors who have been with us for less than 6 months and who have not yet demonstrated excellent therapy technique and leadership qualities to be promoted to senior behavior instructor. Currently, we have 38 employees getting BCBA supervision and we are proud to say that in the last 4 months we have had 12 employees pass the BCBA exam! We are so proud of their accomplishment and we are thankful for the opportunity to support them to achieve their career goals. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
