      Pros

      Warm culture with many opportunities to interact with different departments, nice facility, fitness program, a company with great potential for growth

      Cons

      "Developing": weak leadership, lack of professionalism in some departments, outmoded/ inefficient business systems/ processes and many other things typical of a small company on the cusp of growth.

Those things have only grown since 2015. 2015 was a rough time for us in Salt Lake, you are absolutely right, we had our growing pains. We have managed to turn things around and are glad to see positive reviews coming in as a result of some changes . We continue to develop every day, but we think we learned some pretty big lessons and we are putting our employees first. Thanks again for the review and for the time that you spent at Beijer, Salt Lake.

      Pros

      Beijer Electronics is like a family. Our staff is hard working, interactive, collaborative and fun. We are encouraged to grow within our fields and beyond. We are appreciated and are told so often, recognized within our office and rewarded in thoughtful ways. The culture here is definitely influenced by our Scandinavian ownership and their work ethic and employee-centric philosophies. It is, by far, the best place I have ever worked.

      Cons

      Because Beijer is an international and company, it is a bummer not to know our Swedish and Asian co-workers more personally.

      Pros

      I have been with the company for over 10 years and have seen many changes. Beijer cares about culture and their employees along with good customer service. Work hours are flexible to insure there is a good work/life balance. The people are amazing and there is lots of fun employee activities. The company promotes from within and assists in employee growth. I can't say enough good things about Beijer.

      Cons

      Working in a building with three companies that are mixed can be a challenge.

      Thank you so much for your review. Your longevity with Beijer, Salt Lake means so much to us and we appreciate you sticking it out through the tough times and now in our strong times too. You are right, we share our building with two other companies which at times can pose a challenge. But we are making changes to create as much separation as we can. And as a result of those changes, we'll pick up fun areas such as an interactive breakroom and a new Employee Center. We'll get to keep all the great things that we already have such as our subsidized lunch options, fruit and snacks available all day, and our open layout. Thanks again for your review; we are so glad you are a Beijer employee and thank you for all of the time and effort you have put into making this a great place to work.
