Pros

4 10 hour day work week was nice. Pay is decent for someone with absolutely no experience.

Cons

You will never be allowed to advance to other positions. They post all kinds of positions that you can apply for, but they ALWAYS hire someone from the outside. Multiple production employees had skills or even degrees in fields that could have been a great asset the company. But they would rather have them running a press. Don't be fooled by the obviously planted reviews above, this place treats their employees like dirt.

They do not Value their most Valuable employees.

Pros

The general employees (not management) are great to work with. There are regular food days and you can wear packer clothing on the Friday before a game.

Cons

The management. They not value their employees. The management has thrown employees under the bus rather than take responsibility for their shortcomings. They will also rebuff one of your ideas for improvement of the department and then weeks later present it as their own. The management is also very chauvinistic. The management will over look a group of men talking sports loud enough for the whole department to overhear thus creating a distraction, but yet when the management sees women talking privately at their desk, when it is a work related subject, it's considered inconsequential conversation and a reprimand is to follow. This is a "family company" in the aspect of you need to be related to someone in a solid position at the company, or part of the owner’s place of worship, in order to move up and get anywhere in the company. They will promote unqualified people, and ignore people who have the experience to excel at the job. They pay considerably lower than their competitor's. (When I left, the company I went to paid considerably more an hour for the same job I was doing at Belmark.)

World Class Organization

Pros

Belmark is a world class organization that is family owned and utilizes the principle of "doing the right thing" in all aspects of the business. The cornerstones of the mission statement; Speed-to-Market, Service Development, Product Development and Quality resonate throughout the entire organization. The culture of the company is clearly one of it's strengths and is a big reason why most people that join Belmark do not leave. If you are looking for a fast-paced, rapidly growing organization that is on the cutting edge of technology, Belmark is the place for you. I was fortunate enough to be the first Developmental Employee at Belmark as a fresh college graduate 12 years ago. My challenge as an entry level employee was to learn my job, improve the position, document the position and essentially work myself into greater challenges. My understanding of the business has continued to grow and numerous opportunities have been presented to me along the way. I started as an entry-level employee and have grown into a Senior Management position. in this time Belmark also financed my pursuit of a graduate degree as an investment in my future. There is clearly a strong commitment to employee development at Belmark and I will be forever grateful for the opportunities that have been put in front of me. The commitment to people, process and technology is truly impressive and a big reason why Belmark continues to grow. It has been a great ride to this point and I look forward to the years to come.

Cons

If you are not a Green Bay Packers fan, it might be difficult for you seeing all of the Green and Gold on Fridays! Go Pack Go!
