Pros

The team mentality and the coworkers I work with make the daily grind much more bearable. Discounts and accommodations for vendors are great.

Cons

Not Fairly paid, No commission, almost non existent bonus structure. Hardly any room for vertical progression in the company in the store you start in. Sales managers and up want commission like results from non commission employees. Your sales metrics are tracked daily, and you have a daily sales goal but they say your sales don't matter and not to worry about your numbers, but use your metrics as a weighted average for your performance review. No monetary incentive to keep your sales up, only the fear of getting wrote up or put on a performance review. Over time have consistently shrunk our short term incentive plan. You used to receive "path to excellence" points for getting surveys, hitting your goals, if you were a go getter you could receive upwards of $200 worth of bestbuy certificates a month in the form of points, but that's gone now. Customer surveys are a focal point. They want you to put your name on every reciept to try and get a survey regardless if the customer experience was good or bad, and now your personal survey score is a 30% weighted metric in your performance review. Biggest problem is unfair pay by far.

Pros

Great work environment, free parking, lots of exposure to technology, and large clean building. People are generally very nice. Great PTO, starting analysts get as much as 23 days PTO and work-life balance is very nice. No need to stay late or work weekends like Amazon or other work-to-the-bone environments

Cons

Pay is not as competitive as other fortune 500 retailers. This lack of pay is the primary reason I heard of for people to want to leave.

Pros

The job was fun, just lots of selling with specializing in selling of the warranty's. It was a good first job.

Cons

You have to be on your feet all the time. You can't sit down much. Lunch is 30 min.
