Pros

the discount is pretty good, good place to work in high school/college, really flexible if you need time off for vacation or school ..employees are nice can meet some friends.

Cons

they hired me and about 7 other people in my dept (portable electronics) for seasonal....we all made the same......after the seasons over we dont get a 90 day raise but they give the new people a better starting salary (30 cents) when were the ones that trained them... when I was hired I basically worked for one day and came into the next one and got sent home after working an hour. I didnt work until another 25 days ..they called it a "labor cut"...I basically have to beg for hours but they wouldnt give it to me until the "labor cut" was over For me I was trained in the begining for like 20 minutes and they told me to walk around on my own. I basically got more knowledge about products/ services by dealing with customer complaints I live in a great area but best buy attracts some real wackers. They will rearrange your schedule without telling you. sometimes ( print out your schedule as soon as it comes out and if they changed it you have proof and show it to your store manager.)

Pros

Employee Discount is nice, most people that work there are friendly.

Cons

Lack of management competence in some cases and lack of having a schedule in a timely manner. Manangement is constantly worried about numbers more than service and treating customers as people.

Pros

Many locations allow you to transfer to alternate locations if needed.

Cons

Management lacks leadership skills and shows lack of appriciation for employees. They change job titles just so they can cut peoples pay. Frequently experience re-orgnaization. Best Buy has "re-organized" every year I've worked there and it always means more work for no more pay, or less pay in some cases.
