Pros

Its a very laid back environment, where everyone is productive and overall get together well. There arent really any cliques, everyone seems to get along great!

Cons

Seems difficult to be able to jump on board the management ladder. But overall everyone understands each other fairly well. It would be great if they had a career path established for college graduates that would like to keep on going with best buy.

Pros

Great learning experience, extremely fun, plenty of room for advancement, tool provided to get job done, competent upper management, amazing discount and employee accomodations, reasonable hours and scheduling, plenty of fairness, get to play with all the newest technology, learn everything you need to know-just like being in a classroom. Benefits are great, tuition reimbursement, room to move around between departments and learn new things. Great quarterly bonus for great selling.

Cons

Often poor performing sales associates are tracked heavily on their sales, despite not being on commission. Sales techniques are required to work here at low pay. I would think for how much you have to sell thousand dollar merchandise with 30-40% in extras there would be better pay, but still great place to work.

Pros

I got to work in the camera department and, as someone who is into cameras, really enjoyed what I did. I liked interacting with customers and helping them. My co-workers were also a lot of fun. It was a really great experience and I learned a lot from the time I spent there.

Cons

The managers can be tough and it's sometimes difficult to request time off. Schedules don't come out too far in advanced and will often overlap with time you had already requested off. Some weeks you'll work 4 hours, others you'll work 40.
