Best Buy is a decent place to work for electronic- saavy people.
Pros
I got lucky- besides my immediate supervisor, the management is great. The other employees are great, and we're all pretty close. It is a respectable place to work, and the pay isn't too bad. The discounts are usually fantastic. If you're into electronics, it's a pretty good place to work.
Cons
If you are literally one minute late clocking in, it will count against you. You definitely can be written up for this. I missed a meeting one time out of the 1 1/2 years of working there because my alarm didn't go off, and I got on final warning. They are very corporate- oriented, you are just another dispensible employee, no matter what. If you're part time, you get no benefit opportunities and good luck on maintaining a reliable amount of hours per week. Mine range from 38 to 10. Hard to pay bills with that instability.
