Pros

Guaranteed hours as VPL, good pay and if your store does well for the month then great pay with the bonuses, from the stores I've worked at management has always been extremely helpful

Cons

The shifts can be long, but if you can keep busy it's not too bad, usually just long mids. Otherwise, the way the bonus structure works is great if your store does consistently well, if not then you may never see a good bonus.

Pros

I've worked for Best Buy for 8 years and there is a reason for that there are health insurance options, personal days/vacation days, school reimbursement, fun culture, 401k, bonus potential.

Cons

There isn't a set schedule. No matter how many years you put into the company you can't have a set schedule. It's not an awful gig but I wish I could have the same hours each week.

Pros

New technology all in one place! Constantly learning new things. Partnership with vendors are great. Discounts and accommodations are amazing!!

Cons

Senior Management (not in store) see's your store as a number and doesn't take "store reality" into account when trying to push for stores to hit a certain metric. What works for one store, may not be the best way for the next.
